WHAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE...
There are leg band devices out there but there is one major difference.

The tension from the straps and bands comes between the foot and just below the glutes.

The strongest muscles of the hips (the glutes) are limited, thus focusing on the smaller muscle groups for strength and reaction. Only as strong as your weakest muscles.

Almost an isometric training with the glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, hip flexors, and stabilizer muscles around the knee.
